Marketplace rules and safety

Effective date: September 30, 2026

The OmniBurrow Marketplace is for rabbit breeders, buyers, and the people who support them. These rules apply to listings, photos, breeder profiles, reviews, and messages. By publishing, reviewing, or sending an inquiry, you agree to them.

What you can post

  • Rabbits for sale or rehoming, litters, and stud service, where the sale is legal where you and the buyer live.
  • Cages, hutches, feed, supplies, and equipment.
  • Meat and hides, including photos of packaged or dressed meat and tanned pelts, as long as they are not graphic.
  • Transport services: routes, delivery runs, pickup and drop-off points, schedules, and fees. Transporters are responsible for any licenses, health papers, and humane-transport laws that apply to them.
  • Wanted listings.
  • Honest reviews of a breeder you dealt with, including critical ones.

What is not allowed

  • Sexual content or nudity.
  • Hate, slurs, harassment, threats, or sharing someone's private information.
  • Graphic images of injury, slaughter, or animal cruelty, or anything that encourages cruelty.
  • Scams and fraud: fake listings, advance-fee schemes, demands for gift cards or wire transfers, or sending buyers to a third-party "shipping agency" for insurance, crate, or customs fees.
  • Pretending to be another person or rabbitry, or misleading pedigree, health, or show claims.
  • Illegal animals or goods, weapons, drugs, and anything unrelated to rabbits and rabbitry.
  • Spam, and trying to get around a removal or suspension.

How content is checked

Before a listing, photo, breeder profile, or review becomes public, it is checked automatically against these rules, using Google Gemini for photos and text. Anything that cannot be approved automatically waits for a person. Private messages to a seller are checked only for the most obvious violations, such as payment card numbers.

Reporting

Every listing, photo, breeder profile, review, and message has a Report option. Reports about threats, sexual content, animal cruelty, or fraud hide the content right away while we look at it, and we act on them as soon as we see them. We respond to all other reports within 24 hours. We never tell anyone who reported them.

Blocking

You can block another person from their breeder profile, a listing, a review, or a message. After that, neither of you sees the other's Marketplace content, and neither of you can contact or review the other. They are not told. You can unblock people from your account settings.

When rules are broken

Depending on what happened, we may remove the content, send a warning, or suspend Marketplace access for a set time or until further review. A suspension affects the Marketplace only: your herd records and the rest of OmniBurrow keep working. We email you with what was removed and why.

Appeals

If you think we got it wrong, reply to the email about our decision or write to support@omniburrow.com. A person reviews every appeal.

Young exhibitors

OmniBurrow accounts are for adults 18 and over. Young exhibitors, including 4-H and FFA members, are welcome to take part through a parent or guardian's account. The adult account holder is responsible for every listing, message, sale, and meeting arranged through it.

Buying and selling safely

OmniBurrow does not take part in sales between members. We do not process payments, hold deposits, inspect animals, or guarantee listings. Meet safely, see animals in person when you can, and never pay with gift cards or wire transfers to someone you have not met.

Records

We keep reports and a copy of the reported content for one year after a report is resolved, then delete them.
