Rabbit pedigree software built from your own records
In OmniBurrow, a pedigree is not a document you retype. It is assembled from the sire and dam recorded on each rabbit, so recording or correcting a parent once updates every descendant's pedigree. You can view the full tree, check it against ARBA registration requirements, and export it as a PDF.
Existing pedigrees come in from PDFs or photos, and duplicates can be merged, so years of paper history become linked records you can search, breed from, and sell with.
How a pedigree is built
Each rabbit record points to its sire and dam, and those rabbits point to their own parents. OmniBurrow follows those links as far back as your records go. Two things follow from that:
- Fixing one link fixes everything below it. Attach a missing parent or correct a grandmother's variety, and every pedigree that includes her is right immediately.
- A pedigree is only as deep as your records. An ancestor you never recorded is an empty box, never a guess.

ARBA registration checks and PDF pedigrees
Next to the tree, OmniBurrow lists what ARBA registration still needs — a left-ear tattoo on the rabbit and a complete three-generation tree of 2 parents, 4 grandparents, and 8 great-grandparents — so gaps are visible before you apply.
The PDF export is the standard three-generation pedigree. Varieties come from the ARBA breed and variety catalog, which covers every ARBA-recognized breed; see breeds and show classes. Pedigrees can also be emailed with a sale receipt.

Upload the pedigree
Add a pedigree PDF or a photo of a paper pedigree — one at a time, or several PDFs in a batch. A clean PDF, such as one exported from another program, reads more reliably than a phone photo.

OmniBurrow reads the ancestors
Names, ear tags, registration numbers, varieties, and dates are pulled from each box and arranged into a tree.

You review every box
Edit any field, move an ancestor to the right position, or link a box to a rabbit you already own. Nothing is added to your herd until you approve it.

The records join your herd
Ancestors already in your herd are matched when the registration number or ear tag matches exactly, and a linebred ancestor that appears twice becomes one rabbit, not two.
The upload needs a connection. Details are in the pedigree import guide, and herd records from Everbreed, Kintraks, Evans Rabbit Register, or a spreadsheet come in through CSV import.
Duplicates, transfers, and inbreeding
- Merge duplicates. If the same rabbit was entered twice, merge the two records; history moves to the one you keep. Merging needs a connection. Rabbit records
- Transfer a pedigree. When you sell to another OmniBurrow breeder, the rabbit and its recorded ancestry can move into their account as live records rather than a PDF. Both of you have to accept. Pedigree transfers
- Check relatedness.The coefficient of inbreeding uses Wright's path method over the recorded pedigree and shows how deep that pedigree goes, so a low number on a thin pedigree is easy to spot. Genetics and COI
